1600 tags read through DSC tag engine starts 1 hr later

I try to do OPC data acquisition connecting my PC to another PC that
hosts an OPC server through Labview DSC 7.0. I use the "tag
configuration editor" to create a .scf tag file and Lanch the tag
engine in the client PC, and the application for the data read is
tested with "get tag list.vi" and "read tag.vi". It works fine with a
small number of tags, but as the number of tags increased the waiting
time for the first correct read will increase too. For 1,600 tags the
waiting time is about one hour, within the waiting time (1 hr) all the
tags value are read as 0 and the timestamps are back to year 1903 with
no error sign shown. After this 1 hour waiting time, the OPC data
refresh realtime (both value and timestamp are correct, not 0 and 1903
year). This 1 hour waiting time is terrible, every time I want to
change the .scf file (see, add one tag) I have to stop the engine,
start engine and wait for 1 hour ):. Is the tag engine designed like
this or I have done something wrong? I didn't use a TAG group (deault
is all), will a Tag group name solve this problem? Please help...
Thank you very much in advance,

Ronil
